Childress must be fired...

after reading this report in the Pioneer Press today...

I am the most livid I have ever been at coach Childress. Calling Kluwe out for not hitting the sidline is insane. The Vikings miss a minimum of two takles covering any kick this season, this doesn't all fall on Kluwe. This should be the simplist thing in the world for coach to take care of. However, Childress has taken what should be a minor coaching correction, and blown it up into this spectacle.

He should be fired. He defends Jackson for two seasons, but is willing to kill Kluwe after one bad game. He's still the 7th best punter in the NFL (by average, 5yds/kick behind the leader), and childress is trying to show Kluwe up like this. Kluwe has been the most consistent person on special teams for the vikes (Kicker Longwell still has his good moments, but sometimes he doesn't...) Childress is now officially an a**hole, and deserves to be fired and forced to coach the Oakland Raiders for all of eternity. I don't care if the vikes go unbeaten or if they lose every game for the rest of the year, Childress needs to go, NOW!

I've always said the Vikes need to hire a yeller to be the head coach, this wasn't Green, Tice, or Childress. I wonder if Bill Cowher is bored at CBS yet? (probably not, but maybe Steve Mariccui wouldn't mind coaching in a dome again, except this time with talent.) But Childress is worse than "soft," he's a stubborn, whiny, scapegoat seeking prick. I hope the half-full metrodome hears me on Sunday...
